An Igbo group, under the umbrella of Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth, has given a 2 weeks ulimatum to killer herdsmen occupying the some parts of forest in South East to vacate such areas or risk taken out by force.
The youths who made this outcry stated that the lands belong to the indigenous people and can no longer tolerate the presence of killer herdsmen.
This is coming as a result of incessant killings of innocent people across the regions by suspected unidentified herdsmen.
Speaking in Enugu, the National Leader of Ohaneze Youths, Chief Arthur Obiorah also gave warnings to the Miyetti Allah organisation to desist from inciting comments that can lead to crisis.
Obiorah stated that “We have suffered enough in the hands of these killer herdsmen who maraud our area; maim and kill our people recklessly. They rape and defile our wives and daughters. So, we can’t bear it any longer. Anyone who wants to live in Igboland is free to do so but must not live in our bushes. That’s why we have given them two weeks to vacate the bushes and forests.”
